Middle School Track Sets New Records (Sports)

The Blanco Middle school girls track team has broken several of the BMS records in their last two meets.

In the Comfort Middle School Relays on Friday, March 7, the 7th grade girls won the meet with 169 points. On Friday, March 21 the girls won the Harper Relays with 181 points. At Harper the 4X100 relay team including Carly Haack, Hanna Srackangast, Taylor Kotfas, and Lila Avila set a new record with a time of 55.5 seconds. At the Comfort meet the same team members improved their school record in the 4X200 with a time of 1:59.01. Johanna Villarreal improved her school record in the 2400 meter run with a time of 8:48.73 and the 1600 meter run with a time of 5:37.28. Villarreal set new records in the 800 rum with a time of 2:31.19 and in the 400 meter run with a time of 66.47. Kenzie Warner set new school records with a 16.66 in the 100 meter hurdles and a 55.08 in the 300 meter hurdles.

Eighth grader Chloe Flores set a new school record with 6:04 in the 1600 meter run. Skylar Wiseman set a new school record for 8th grade girls shot put with a throw of 30’ 7.5”.
