The Panthers baseball team began district play on Tuesday, March 18 with a decisive, 16-3, win over the Ingram Warriors. Jake Breeding pitched for Blanco picking up his 3rd win of the season going 4 innings and scattering 5 hits. The Panthers hammered 14 hits in 5 innings. Kyle Gray, Kyle Sauceda, Chase Glowka, Josh McCaslin, and Mckay Adamson all had 2 hits. McCaslin and Adamson each knocked in 3 runs.
On Friday, March 21 Blanco defeated the Johnson City Eagles, 16-10. McCaslin picked up the win for the Panthers going 4 and 2/3’s innings striking out 6 and scattering 5 hits. Blanco pounded 18 hits. Glowka, CJ Lavolvo, and Jake Breeding all had 3 hits. Gray hit a bomb and had 3 rbi. The Panthers hold a 12-0 season record and a 2-0 district record. The Panthers tangled with the Comfort Bobcats on Tuesday, March 25 after presstime. Blanco then hosts the San Antonio Wolverines on Friday, March 28 at 6:00 pm.
The Panthers host a Junior Varsity tournament on Saturday, March 29. Come out and support the Panthers!
