The Panther softball team won a 3 inning, 15-0, run-rule game over the Ingram Lady Warriors on Tuesday, March 18 and then fell 8-9 in 8 innings to the Johnson City Lady Eagles on Friday, March 21. Against Ingram, Lexee Jenkins had the hot bat blasting 2 singles and a double with 2 rbi. Meaghen Seales hit 2 singles with 1 rbi. Abbie Culton had a single with 2 walks, 2 rbi, and scored 3 runs. Kasie Dowdy also had 2 walks, 2 rbi, and scored 1 run. Jamie McClinton, Cheyenne Klein, and Payton Savarino each scored 2 runs. Andrea Calzoncit had 2 rbi. Seales pitched the 3 inning shutout.
Against Johnson City, Savarino paced the team with a single, a double and 3 rbi. McClinton added 2 singles, 2 runs, and 2 rbi. Seales drew 4 walks and scored 3 runs. Charlsey Smith, Katlinn Calzoncit, Dowdy and Klein each hit one single, Seales pitched 5 innings, with Savarino tossing 3.
The Panthers hosted the Comfort Deer Tuesday, March 25 after press time and host the Poth Lady Pirates on Friday, March 28. Game time is 6:00 pm.
