Live pari-mutuel horse racing returns to the Gillespie County Fair Grounds in Fredericksburg on Saturday and Sunday, Aug. 10-11. Also taking place that weekend in the Show Barn at the Gillespie County Fair Grounds will be three livestock shows. For the races, the gates open at 11 a.m. and post time is 1 p.m. both days. Admission to the grounds is $5 for adults, $3 for children six to 15 and free for children under six. Box seats are available for $9 each. Sponsored by the Gillespie County Fair and Festivals Association, the weekend is part of the 2013 summer season at the Gillespie County Fair Grounds.
