Revelations Part 12 (Focus on Faith)

So far I’ve published the first seven chapters of Revelations. There are twenty-two chapters in Revelations. And yes, I shall continue to publish all twenty-two chapters. But before we go on, I must share what God’s Word says about all of us who are living today. We do not have to go through the terrible things prophesied in this book. We have a choice.

When God sent His only Son, Jesus, to die for us, He became the sin we were born into, and that’s why He had to be separated from God.

When God sent Jesus, He gave us the choice of believing in Him as our Lord and Saviour, and He said “And whosoever liveth and believeth in me shall never die. Believest thou this?” John 11:26

This was prophesied in the book of Daniel (chapter 9) and in Ezekiel chapter 44. Seek and ye shall find! You can do a word search on “atonement” or “propitiation” or “redemption” and find lots of good stuff on why Jesus had to atone for our sins, and why He is called the Lamb of God.

In Deuteronomy 30:19 God even told Moses that he and all the Israelites had a choice, and He said “I call heaven and earth to record this day against you, that I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing: therefore choose life, that both thou and thy seed may live:”

We can only have spiritual life through the grace of God, by believing in Jesus Christ as our risen Lord and Saviour. Everything on earth changes; nothing remains the same forever, except for God’s Word, and He protects His Word.

If we have received Christ Jesus into our hearts, and believe in Him, we shall be raptured before all these seals are broken. Why? Well, that’s a lot of explaining you expect me to do, ma’am/sir, but I will try to share part of it in 400 words or less (you might ask your pastor)!

In 1 Thessalonians 4:15-18 it is written “14 For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so them also which sleep in Jesus will God bring with him.

15 For this we say unto you by the word of the Lord, that we which are alive and remain unto the coming of the Lord shall not prevent them which are asleep.

16 For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first:

17 Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord.

18 Wherefore comfort one another with these words.”

Now, some believe this may happen when Jesus comes back on His white horse in Revelations Chapter 19, but I have run references in my bibles, and believe He will call us up, just as Paul describes it above, plus come back after seven years of tribulation (also referred to as seven weeks in Daniel). Then while all the bad stuff is going on down here on earth, all of us who had the Holy Spirit within us through our faith in Jesus Christ, at the exact time He calls us up will be in heaven with Him being judged by Him during that seven years. At the end of that seven years, we shall come back with Him and all the angels and we shall fight with Him and His angels and He shall defeat the devil. Are you up for that? Or are you thinking, man, I can’t even fight my own battles here on earth, how could I possibly do that? Well, He’s preparing us for that, if you are living your life according to His Word, and the ways He tells us to handle adversity. Remember, there is no other word that is able to triumph in your problems than God’s Word, and when we wield the sword of the Spirit, we win, first in the spiritual realm that we can’t see, and then in the earthly realm, because God’s angels hearken to God’s Word, and God hastens to perform His Word.

Psalm 103:20 “Bless the Lord, ye his angels, that excel in strength, that do his commandments, hearkening unto the voice of his word.”

Did you see that? It says ‘voice’ of His Word. That means they have to hear it spoken! That’s one of those gems we can glean from His Word.

Jeremiah 1:12 “Then said the Lord unto me, Thou hast well seen: for I will hasten my word to perform it.”

Did your parents ever threaten you with punishment? They may have said,”When we get home, you’re gonna get it, and that’s not a threat, that’s a promise!”

Well, all of God’s Word is a promise, and that includes the blessings as well as the punishments. Look at what happened to the people who turned away from God. Look at what happened to those who believed in Him and kept His Word! God promises to fight our battles for us, to go before us, and never leave us, and we have His Word as our promise and His Holy Spirit as our guarantee!

Hebrews 7:22 “By so much was Jesus made a surety of a better testament.”

Believe it, receive it.

If you are having trouble believing God’s Word, and all His promises, all I can suggest is that you go “hear” God’s Word preached to you.

Romans 10:17 “So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.”

And “Who hath put wisdom in the inward parts? or who hath given understanding to the heart?” Job 38:36

Psalm 111:10 “The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom: a good understanding have all they that do his commandments: his praise endureth for ever.”

Psalm 119:169 “Let my cry come near before thee, O Lord: give me understanding according to thy word.” (You see it says “let my cry”?) That means cry out loud! Let Him hear you!

Ask and ye shall receive! Then you can believe! You receiveth what ye believeth!

Note 2 Timothy 2:19.
