People from near and far will be taking a drive through the Hill Country with the windows down to fully experience the ultimate “Gal Pal” trip and party with a purpose. Diverse activities, an historic old Texas town, good food, good company, and support for the Blanco Non-profit Coalition all come together on the first weekend of April. Come and experience a one-of-a-kind event created for women by women, Wild Woman Weekend happening on April 5, 6, and 7.
Feel the cooling breeze of the Hill Country while you enjoy a bevy of activities expressly designed to be of interest to women. Amp up your motor at the 5k & 10k runs, Zumba, Boot Camp, self-defense lessons, and belly dancing. Idle it at Tai Chi, yoga, and the Shop the Hill Country Fashion Show Luncheon. Rev up the grey matter at a journaling workshop, the author luncheon, fly-fishing lessons, Breakfast with the Birds, and A Scent for Every Woman Workshop. Shift into cruise drive for the Friday night movie, the quilt exhibit, chick market, and Babes-Beer-BBQ–great food from Ronnie’s BBQ in Johnson City served up at Real Ale Brewing. Blow out those pipes at Casino Night or painting like Pollock. That motor will be fine-tuned and ready for the return trip home after a Sunday morning yoga session.
Take that spring road trip (even if it’s from just down the road) and make it a memorable one at Wild Woman Weekend in Blanco. Local Hill Country merchants, restaurants, and inhabitants are supporting the many activities to refuel and turn that odometer back a few miles for you. Don’t sweat the details, register early at www.wildwomanweekend.org to save money and ensure your place at events. Call 512-750-6362 for registration help.
