News from the Blanco Library (Community News)

Snuggle up in this cold weather and watch one of the many holiday movies we recently added or grab some cocoa and read a good holiday book. Just for the kids we are showing a Christmas movie on our Second Thursday at 5:30 pm (see website for more info) and making crafts on Friday, December 21, at 10:30 am.

Blanco Library Angel Trees are up! Show your caring side by donating and putting your name on an angel. Our regular angels start at $5 and you get a free calendar to take home. Our special angels are going for $50; with that, you get a calendar, and you can put the angel on your own tree! If you are donating in the name of a loved one, you can take a card to give to them to let them know how special they are.

Food for Fines is still going! Just bring in one canned or boxed food, good for $1 off your late fines!

Upcoming programs: December 13 – Blanco Writers Group at 2pm. December 13 – Christmas Movie Showing at 5pm. December 19 – Blanco Book Bunch reading club at 2pm. December 21 – Kids Christmas Crafts at 10:30am. December 29 – Food for Fines ends. Mondays and Wednesdays – Free Computer Classes 11:30am – 5:30pm. Fridays – Story Time 10:30am.
