Katherine Biggs, a senior Blanco FFA member, has been named the FFA Student of the Month for December.
Earlier this fall, Katherine was elected to serve as the 2014-15 Blanco FFA Sentinel. Katherine’s involvement in the FFA began in the Jr. FFA and since then she has been an active participant in local, county and major livestock shows exhibiting market steers, swine and goats with her greatest success coming with steers at the majors. In addition, Katherine has also done well on LDE and CDE teams playing a key role in many district and area titles while advancing and doing well at state competitions. Katherine has also proven to be very active in the community as a volunteer at numerous fundraisers and events such as the Wild Game Dinner, the FFA Rabies Clinic, Blanco Gardenscape, Keep Blanco Beautiful and the Jr. FFA program.
As a result of her valuable contributions to the Blanco FFA, Katherine has been named the Blanco FFA Student of the Month Award for December.
