Madeleine Ellis Moss, 67, passed away on January 6, 2015 at home in Johnson City, TX. She was born on June 3, 1947 in Pasadena, TX to John and Catherine Ellis. Madeleine grew up in Pasadena and graduated from Pasadena Memorial High School. Madeleine married Ralph Moss in 1964 in Pasadena. They were happily married for 50 years. She was a Paramedic/Director for several years. She enjoyed reading, spending time with her faithful dogs. Madeleine worked for the National Park Service and was a park ranger where she gave tours of the President Lyndon Baines Johnson boyhood home. She retired in July, 2012.
Madeleine is survived by her spouse Ralph Moss, daughters Kathryn Moss Gipson and husband Gaylon, Shannon Moss Crofts and husband Scott; Four grandchildren, Cory Gipson, Nicole Gipson, Cody Crofts and Dalton Crofts; and a brother Paul Ellis. Madeline was preceded in death by her parents John and Catherine Ellis.
Visitation was held from 5:00 – 7:00 PM on Thursday, January 8, 2015 at Crofts Crow Funeral Home where funeral services were also held at 11:00 AM Friday, January 9, 2015 with Rev. Ernest Topper officiating. Interment followed in the Johnson City Masonic Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers the family requests memorial donations be made to the North Blanco County EMS, P.O. 557, Johnson City, TX 78636.
