The Blanco PTO sponsored a poinsettia fundraiser throughout the month of November. Each elementary student sold poinsettias to their friends, family and neighbors to assist their classroom in funding school field trips. This year was a huge success selling 1,350 plants, which is 50 more than last year, with sales totaling over $17,600. Thank you to the community of Blanco for your generosity and support of our elementary students.
The best part of this sale is everything is locally grown at Klepac’s Nursery. The poinsettias were absolutely beautiful this year! We appreciate their loyalty to this fundraiser.
The PTO gives prizes to each student who sells at least one plant. The students who sold 10 or more plants were given a Blanco Panther water bottle. PTO rewards the top 3 sellers with VISA gift cards. This year our top winner was fourth grader Rylee Davis. She received a $200 VISA gift card that was graciously donated by Kathi’s Resale Shop in Canyon Lake. The 2nd place winner was second grader Carson Riba, who received a $100 VISA gift card. The 3rd place winner was fourth grader Emma Baker, who received a $50 gift card. Great job to all of our participants!
