The 7th grade Panthers Won another game Thursday, October 2, squeaking out a close one 14-12 against the Comfort Bobcats. The Panther defense showed their strength with good team tackling throughout the game.
The defense was led by Marshall Symons with more than 10 tackles and a fumble recovery. Brayden Hodge showed his strength on numerous tackles, shutting down the inside running game. Hunter West and Kade Kneese combined for over a dozen tackles, Kelton Marek, Ruben Gonzalez, Jonathon Gonzalez, and Alex Andrade all provided good tackles during the game. Aaron Daniels played strong with great tackling, shutting down the outside on defense with 8 tackles. Gunner Granburg came on strong with just under 100 yards rushing, 14 tackles, a TD an extra point, and a fumble recovery. Clayton Brown ran strong for the Panthers with 40 yards, and an exciting 26 yard kick-off return to start the 2nd half. Bowie Crofts had a spectacular evening with great open field tackling and a 28 yard Touchdown pass reception from Brandt Wagner.
The 7th Grade Panthers will travel to Stockdale on Thursday, October 9, at 5pm to add another win to their 3-1 season.
