Felix Mercado Sanchez, 73, passed away September 1, 2014 at his home in Blanco, TX. Felix was born in Laguna Grande, Mont. Escobedo, Zacatecas, MX to Hipolito and Maria del Carmen Sanchez. He was preceded in death by his parents; and five brothers and sisters, Patricinio, Malacias, Jesus, Eliborio, and Antemia.
Mr. Sanchez is survived by his loving wife, Maria Sanchez; their ten children, Gustavo Sanchez, his four children, Isaac, Gabriel, Elijah, and Marina; Olga Schmidt and husband John; Mario Sanchez and wife Yolanda, their four children, Valerie, Vicky, Mario, Jr., and Cristina and one grandchild, Noel; Javier Sanchez and his wife Rosa, their four children, Vanessa, Javier, Jr., Clarissa, and Julissa; Yolanda Pierce and husband Paul, their two children, Casey and Nick; Carmen Guadian and husband Robert; Silvia Sanchez; Blanca Estella Gilbert and husband Richard, their three children, Tristan, Dillon, and Griffin; Veronica Martinez and husband Sergio; and Sandra Taylor and husband Zach and their two children, Alexandra and Samantha. Felix is also survived by one brother, Gabriel and one sister Santos as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and other dear relatives and friends.
Visitation was held 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM Thursday, September 4, 2014 at Crofts – Crow Funeral Home in Blanco where the Rosary was also held at 7:00 PM that evening. Funeral Mass was celebrated at 12:00 Noon, Friday, Sept. 5, 2014 at St. Ferdinand Catholic Church, 29 Main St., Blanco, TX 78606 with Rev. Aliro Fernandez as Celebrant. Interment followed in the Blanco Cemetery, Blanco, TX.
