Lady Panthers Stay Undefeated in District (Sports)

The Blanco High School Panther girls team remains undefeated in District 27-AA after blasting the Johnson City Lady Eagles, 66-37, on Tuesday, January 7 and outscoring the Ingram Lady Warriors, 60-55, on Friday, January 10.

Against the Eagles, Lexee Jenkins fired in 24 points to lead the Panthers. Jamie McClinton scored 14 with Payton Savarino making 11. Meaghen Seales sank 8 points and Charlsey Smith scored 6. Kari Graham added 3 points.

In the win over the Warriors, Jenkins paced the Panthers scoring 16 points. Seales followed closely with 14 points. Smith sank 13 points with Reagan Rogers making 9. McClinton scored 6 and Abbie Culton added 2.

The Junior Varsity girls team also improved to 3-0 in district play defeating Johnson City 41-22 and downing Ingram 42-25. In the game against Johnson City, Montana Wiseman led the team scoring 10 points. Victoria Moya and Hannah Hulbert each scored 7. Brenna Wallace sank 6 points with Gracie Edmondson adding 5. Katlinn Calzoncit made 3 points while Andrea Calzoncit scored 2. Shayna Srackangast scored 1 point.

Against Ingram, Andrea Calzoncit ripped the nets scoring 15 points. Moya scored 11 with Wiseman adding 9. Hulbert made 3 points while Srackangast and Wallace each scored 2.

After an open date on Tuesday, the Panthers host Lago Vista on Friday, January 17, at 5:00 and 6:30.
