Our last two Blanco Woman’s Club meetings have been quite delightful.
In November we had a wonderful Zentangle class presented by Wendy Watson and the Art Department. Ms. Watson is a creative artist who enjoys making Zentangle paintings, shirts, bags, ornaments, and just about anything you can draw on!
What is Zentangle? Zentangle is a style of doodling that can bring the artist a sense of peace when you are drawing. This stylized art can be anything from classy, whimsical, to crazy fun! Our ladies had a wonderful time making their own Zentangle coasters! The hostesses crafted their own holiday art in their food and decorations.
I would like to say a thank-you to my fellow hostesses Ann Wynn, Connie Barron, Mary Nabers, Janie Jones and Tish Johnson for making such a beautiful bit of munchies.
For our annual Silver Tea, Diane Turner was such a wonderful hostess to let us use her beautiful home.
Diane Turner, Carol Davidson, Charlene Pace, Kathee Copeland, Bonnie Holmes, and Candy Cargill made a soul warming spread of soup, coffee punch, cider, and more!
We had a small present exchange with a cute exchange story told by Candy.
Thank you to all of the ladies for helping to raise over $3,000 for the Blanco Library!
We sang carols, led by our President Carol Davidson on the piano, and visited to our hearts’ content.
There is nothing like good friends and good food.
