It's that time of year again, with Thanksgiving right around the corner, the Chess Club Cafe wants to take you out of the kitchen. This year will mark their 3rd annual Thanksgiving Feast. Chef Steve Becker will be whipping up a thanksgiving dinner with all the trimmings, served up family style and ready for take out.
Not only does the Chess Club want to do all the work for you, they want to help out a great cause. Every year Steve Becker and the staff at the Chess Club Cafe have donated 50% of the price of each thanksgiving meal to the Blanco Area Lunches of Love Program.
Lunches of Love is a food delivery organization that delivers lunches to those who can't do for themselves. The recipients of the program have trouble making themselves a meal either due to age or illness. Every Monday and Friday volunteers from the area prepare homemade lunches and deliver them. The money donated helps buy groceries to prepare these healthy meals for the entire year. The hope for this year is to double last years donation.
The cost of the Chess Club's Thanksgiving is $14.95 per person and must be ordered by Tuesday November 26th. If you're interested or have any questions please call the chess club at 830-833-4930.
