The panther volleyball team completed District 27-2A play as Co-District Champions with the Comfort Deer. The two teams each held 7-1 district records. Earlier in district play on October 4 the Panthers defeated the Deer 3-2. Then on October 22 the Deer beat the Panthers 3-0. The Panthers finished district with decisive wins over Lago Vista, 3-1, on October 25 and 3-0 over Johnson City on October 29.

Since the Panthers and Deer were tied, the teams had to play again to determine seeding positions for the playoffs. Saturday, November 2, the teams clashed at the Fredericksburg High School gym. The Panthers were back on their game and swept the Deer 3-0 with set scores (25-19), (25-20), and (25-19). The Panthers will represent District 27-2A as the 1st place seed and Comfort will be 2nd seed.

Other teams advancing to playoffs from the district are Lago Vista in 3rd place and Ingram in 4th place.

After press time on Tuesday, November 5, the Panthers face the Stockdale Lady Brahmas in their Bi-District playoff game at Luling High School. Comfort must play Hallettsville with Ingram battling Schulenburg. Lago Vista fell to Poth 3-0 on Monday, November 4.

The Area round of playoffs must be played by November 7th, 8th, or 9th. Check the Blanco County News website for volleyball playoff updates. Go Panthers!
