Home may be where the heart is, but the kitchen is the heart of the home.
Food is at the center of every culture and bonds family together building traditions and creating memories.
These are the values that inspired Anne-Marie Morgan to put together a cookbook by and for the people of Blanco and it’s surrounding areas.
“We are a small town deep in the heart of Texas, and yet we are a global community.” said Anne-Marie. “I found that cooking with someone from a different country or cultural background recreates that kind of experience [family]. It brings closeness that may not have been there before.”
Anne-Marie was born in Lyon, France and has lived in America with her husband and 5 children for 40 years. After living in several big cities they settled in this area to be closer to her in-laws.
“Blanco World Cookery” will be a cookbook celebrating the diverse ethnic groups which make up the fabric of our community.
