Is YOUR NAME written in the “Lamb’s Book of Life”? It is something to consider and work on, if you’re bored and looking for something to do, why not look into God’s Word and do something for yourself.

While studying Revelations I noticed the following verses that teach us who will be in heaven and who will not. Please read God’s Word.

Revelations 21:8 “8 But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death.”

Revelations 21:27 “27 And there shall in no wise enter into it any thing that defileth, neither whatsoever worketh abomination, or maketh a lie: but they which are written in the Lamb's book of life.”

Well, since this sentence was repeated twice in this chapter, perhaps it would behoove us to see what it means!

Definitions:

Fearful - feeling anxiety or apprehension; causing or likely to cause fear; nervous and easily frightened; arising from or expressing fear; arising from or expressing fear

I believe if we are fearful (worried) that we have not placed our trust in God, because we are relying on ourselves or other people or worldly ways of handling things, and have not submitted all to God. If we are trusting in God we will not fear.

1 John 4:18 “There is no fear in love; but perfect love casteth out fear: because fear hath torment. He that feareth is not made perfect in love.” If we are causing others to fear us, that is sin!

Unbelieving: lacking belief or expressing disbelief about something

Abominable: extremely repugnant or offensive

Murderer: the crime of killing another person deliberately and not in self-defense or with any other extenuating circumstance recognized by law

Whoremonger: an offensive term for a sexually indiscriminate man, especially one who frequents prostitutes

Sorcerer: somebody who is believed or claims to have magical powers

Idolator: somebody or something greatly admired or loved, often to excess

Liar: somebody who tells lies

Anything that “Defileth”: “defile”: to corrupt or ruin something

Worketh abomination: “abomination”: an object of intense disapproval or dislike, immoral, disgusting, shameful

Or maketh a lie: to say something that is not true in a conscious effort to deceive somebody

There we have the definitions of what God has stated will cause a person to be turned away from heaven.

Heaven, God’s Kingdom; where we will live in supreme happiness and peace; worshipping God, along with all the angels and other saints, in our mansions He’s prepared for all those who love Him and obey Him. Remember the most important commandment: Love God! The second: love others!

I know people refer to us, the saints, as the bride of Jesus, but chapter 21 of Revelations that was published last week describes the new Jerusalem as the bride. It’s very clear to me, but I don’t want to argue. I’ll just believe what I read in God’s Word, and let everyone else believe what they want to.

That’s what you and I need to do. We just need to get established and rooted in God’s Word, and read it every day to water it and grow it and God will give us more and more understanding of it through His Holy Spirit who indwells in our hearts, because when we are grafted into God’s Kingdom and family, His Holy Spirit gives us discernment, so we need to believe it and not allow ourselves to be swayed by the world or the opinions of anyone else who does not have His discernment, or has chosen to walk in doubt.

Jesus, said “For verily I say unto you, That whosoever shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he saith shall come to pass; he shall have whatsoever he saith.” Mark 11:23

Next week we will publish the last chapter of Revelations, 22. I pray for blessings upon each reader.
