The Panthers played aggressive, confident volleyball against the Comfort Deer on Tuesday, October 16, winning 3-0. Set scores were 25-17, 25-22, and 25-20.
Reagan Rogers led the team with 13 kills. Lexee Jenkins made 21 assists. Reagan scooped up 15 digs. Leslie McClinton hit 3 aces and 3 blocks.
On Friday, October 19, the panthers faced the Lago Vista Vikings, losing 0-3. The Panthers fought hard with final set scores 18-25, 15-25, and 26-28. Reagan hit 9 kills and 5 aces. Leslie made 2 blocks.
The junior varsity won their match against Comfort 2-0, but lost to Lago 0-2.
The varsity team must win their match against Johnson City on Tuesday, October 23, after press time to remain tied for 2nd with Comfort in the District 27-2A standings.
Blanco and Comfort will then play a tie-breaker match on Friday, October 26, or Saturday, October 27. With Lago Vista firmly seated in 1st place for district, the winner of the Blanco/Comfort game will move into playoffs as the district runner-up and the loser as the third place representative in the playoffs. The first playoff game will be played either Monday, October 29, or Tuesday, October 30.
