District 27-AA Champs... L-R: Coach Scott Balmos, Kyle Gray, James Leachman, Lane Hoelting, TJ Hardin and Aaron Uballe. The Blanco boys golf team captured the District 27-AA championship for the third year in a row, outdistancing second place Lago Vista by 15 strokes in rounds played on March 26 at Vaaler Creek Golf Club in Blanco and on April 8 in Kerrville. The Blanco team scored 696 followed by Lago Vista with 711. Individual winners for Blanco were: Gray, 3rd place with 168, Leachman, 4th with 171, Hardin 5th with 176, Hoelting, 8th with 181 and Uballe, 11th with 192. The team will compete at regional at the Quail Creek Country Club in San Marcos on April 15-16. Information and photo provided by BISD.
