Franklin Palmer Crofts, Jr., known by most as “Sandy” passed away Sunday afternoon, April 7, 2013 at Lighthouse Hospice in Round Rock, TX. He was born October 9, 1943in Cisco, TX to Franklin Palmer Crofts and Evelyn Halbert Crofts.
Sandy was loved by all who knew him. He loved people, shooting his guns, riding hismotorcycle and helping people.
During his lifetime he was a rancher, a truck driver for approximately 45 years haven driven several million miles never injuring anyone. He ran heavy equipment, was a welder, and did most of the construction of his last home with his wife’s help.
He was preceded in death by his father, Franklin “Frank” Palmer Crofts, mother, Evelyn Halbert Crofts, and son Franklin “Franco” Palmer Crofts, III.
Sandy is survived by his loving wife of 19 years, Leslie; son, Scott Alan Crofts and wife Shannon; daughter Michelle Elaine Smith and husband Andy, Lisa Hughes, Wayne Siegmund and wife Rhonda, and James Siegmund; twelve grandchildren, Cody and Dalton Crofts, Kylie Perrie and husband Dylan, Shelby, Brenna, and Baily Knight, Wesley Rankin and wife Desi, Colton, Kayla, Christoph, Nikolas, and Joshua Siegmund; two great granddaughters, Autumn and Tatum Perrie. He is also survived by many other loving relatives and dear friends.
The family wishes to give their sincere and special thanks to their friend and physician, Ronald Johns, MD, the staff at Central Texas Cancer Center in Marble Falls, and the caring nurses and doctors at Lighthouse Hospice.
A memorial service will be held at 2:00 PM, Saturday, April 20, 2013 at Marble Falls First Baptist Church, 501 12th St., Marble Falls, with Bro. Max Copeland officiating. Interment will be private.
