Ladies, have you ever wanted to write a book, record your family history and experiences, share a local legend, write a book for children, or just write for yourself? If any of these interest you, there is a remarkable opportunity for you on Saturday, April 6, in Blanco. Three acclaimed authors from Texas will be presenters at Wild Woman Weekend.
Two authors will be part of the Book Lovers’ Luncheon starting at noon on Saturday: Karen Valby, author of “Welcome to Utopia” and Senior Writer at “Entertainment Weekly,” plus Mary Gordon Spence, author of “Finding Magic in the Mundane” - keynote speaker – commentator for KUT, Austin Public Radio. These extremely knowledgeable ladies will share their thoughts, experiences, and insights on their successful journey in writing.
Margie Crisp, successful artist and author, will share her journaling techniques that helped her write and illustrate her book, “River of Contrasts: The Texas Colorado.” Crisp is a nationally exhibited artist and resident of Elgin. Both her illustrations and writing demonstrate the unique character of her subjects and her ability to be a focused observer. Journaling with Margie Crisp will be held at 2:00pm on Saturday.
