The Texas Department of Public Safety reported that Joseph Daniel Krueger, 36, a Texas 10 Most Wanted Fugitive, is now in custody after being arrested in Blanco on Monday night, February 25, by the U.S. Marshals Service Lone Star Fugitive Task Force, which includes the Texas Department of Public Safety. The Texas Mexican Mafia gang member was wanted for parole violation, DPS said. The original offense was possession of controlled substance.

On February 25, 2013, Krueger was added to the most wanted list with a reward amount of $10,000. Krueger, a confirmed member of the Texas Mexican Mafia, had violated terms of his state parole and a warrant was issued for his arrest on October 31, 2012.

Krueger was discovered at approximately 10pm Monday hiding inside a vehicle outside of a Blanco residence and was taken into custody without incident. He was in possession of a small amount of suspected heroin.

Immediately after Krueger was added to the most wanted list, tips began to come in; however, none of them led to the arrest and so no reward will be paid.

So far in 2013, DPS and other agencies have arrested eight Texas 10 Most Wanted Fugitives and Sex Offenders, including two gang members and five sex offenders, and $10,000 in rewards have been paid for tips that resulted in arrests. The cash rewards are funded by the Governor’s Criminal Justice Division.
