The deadline to file for the positions coming up for election in May on the city council and school board is set for 5pm on Friday, March 1.
Up for election this cycle is Mayor Chuck Homan’s seat and council seats held by Danny Ray and Maria Guerrero. Mayor Homan and council member Ray have filed for re-election.
Places 5, 6, and 7 on the Blanco ISD Board of Trustees are on the ballot this year. Matt Herden currently holds Place 5; Charles Riley, Place 6; and Bernie San Miguel, Place 7.
Herden, Riley, and San Miguel have filed for re-election to their respective places.
