Beginning March 2, 2013, the law enforcement agencies of over 100 entities across Texas will combine forces to search for those who have active warrants, and the person will be arrested and taken straight to jail.
Those participating include Abilene, Amarillo, Austin, Blanco, Dallas, El Paso, Fort Worth, Georgetown, Grand Prairie, Houston, Irving, Killeen, Lago Vista, Leander, Liberty Hill, Llano County, Lockhart, Marble Falls, Midland, New Braunfels, Odessa, Pflugerville, Round Rock, San Angelo, San Antonio, San Marcos, Waco, Travis County, and Williamson County.
The justice of the peace office warns, “Pay your fines now! Avoid going to jail!”
If you have old outstanding tickets in Blanco County Justice Court, in Johnson City (Precinct 1, Judge Terry Carter at 830-868-4888), or in Blanco (Precinct 4, Judge Bob Riley at 830-833-4212), you should contact the court to find out how much you need to pay.
