Boerne Performing Arts is preparing to “kick-off” their 2013 series with an invigorating show that displays an endless energy from the current touring production of Drumline Live. The 1,000-seat Boerne Champion High School Auditorium has less than 100 seats remaining for this two-hour journey through Motown, Southern Gospel, Big Band Swing Era, American Jazz and traditional Marching Band music. Wednesday, January 30th at 7:30pm, the curtains will open and the show will begin, as ticketholders will become immersed in the total performance experience of Drumline Live.
Authentic Custom Homes and The GVTC Foundation, sponsors for this event, are partnering with Boerne Performing Arts to present world-class performing arts in Kendall County. The generosity and support offered by these two local entities will also provide a special in-school program that will allow 1,000 local students to attend a production by Drumline Live at no cost to the students. This is part of the Boerne Performing Arts FOR KIDS program. The Kronkosky Foundation, Boerne Convention & Visitors Bureau, The Boerne Star, Texas Commission on the Arts and the National Endowment for the Arts provide additional support for these programs.
“This will be an exciting week for the residents of Kendall County”, commented Dan Rogers, President/CEO of Kendall County EDC. “We have a world-class touring production presenting a live performance at Champion High School’s beautiful auditorium on Wednesday evening, followed by the Ribbon Cutting and the VIP Grand Opening Night for the new Starplex Cinemas on Thursday Evening!”
