Barbara Costigan Thorp, 66, of Rust Ranch Estates, Blanco, passed peacefully on Saturday, December 8th in her home after losing her long battle with cancer. She was a brave, determined fighter to the end and passed as she always wished – with her devoted cat “Tigerio” keeping constant vigil in her arms.
Our “Bobby” was a devoted, loving sister and protector, adored by all who knew her. We pray she has finally found the ultimate love, peace, and happiness she so richly deserved! Rest now, dear “Bobby,” till we meet again soon. She requested no memorial service, only cremation, with her remains to be scattered over the graves of her many devoted animals.
Barbara is survived by her domestic companion, Domingo Zuniga, of Blanco and by her two sisters, Phyllis Costigan of Blanco and Marguerite Costigan Sanville of San Luis Obispo, California.
The family wishes to express gratitude to Hill Country Memorial Hospice for their care and efforts, and a special heartfelt “Thank You” to Visiting Angels of Marble Falls for their tender and compassionate care in the final stages and days.
