Matthew 10:22 “And ye shall be hated of all men for my name's sake: but he that endureth to the endshall be saved.”
PSALM 91:14-16 “14 Because he hath set his love upon me, therefore will I deliver him: I will set him on high, because he hath known my name.
15 He shall call upon me, and I will answer him: I will be with him in trouble; I will deliver him, and honour him.
16 With long life will I satisfy him, and shew him my salvation.”
If you have set your love upon God, you shall have what is promised.
One purpose in writing this article is to show all who read that God is awesome! How can we love Him if we don’t know Him?
When we read His Words they melt into our spirits, permeating our hearts, and they take root and grow. His Words become a part of us and draw us to Him. The more you read His Words, the more you want them, and you understand how it feels to hunger and thirst for Him.
Today I’m sharing results of my search for “What is it about blood? Why did Jesus have to pour out His blood?”
There is much more to learn than what I’m sharing today, so “seek and ye shall find!”
In Exodus 29:12 it is written “12 And thou shalt take of the blood of the bullock, and put it upon the horns of the altar with thy finger, and pour all the blood beside the bottom of the altar.”
Exodus 29:16 “16 And thou shalt slay the ram, and thou shalt take his blood, and sprinkle it round about upon the altar.”
In the Hebrew sacrifices for sin, the blood was “sprinkled” round about upon the altar. Jesus Himself was covered with blood, from His head from the crown of thorns, to his feet and hands, from the nails, and then the spear in his side, and it dripped upon the cross (the altar) and down to the ground into a pool of blood and water, all over the ground.
In Exodus 29 the priests had to be sanctified with blood before they could perform the sacrifices for all the people. In verses 29:20-21 of Exodus it is written “20 Then shalt thou kill the ram, and take of his blood, and put it upon the tip of the right ear of Aaron, and upon the tip of the right ear of his sons, and upon the thumb of their right hand, and upon the great toe of their right foot, and sprinkle the blood upon the altar round about.
21 And thou shalt take of the blood that is upon the altar, and of the anointing oil, and sprinkle it upon Aaron, and upon his garments, and upon his sons, and upon the garments of his sons with him: and he shall be hallowed, and his garments, and his sons, and his sons' garments with him.”
We are redeemed by Jesus’ blood, as is written in Colossians 1:14-15 “14 In whom we have redemption through his blood, even the forgiveness of sins:
15 Who is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of every creature:”
Colossians 1:26 “26 Even the mystery which hath been hid from ages and from generations, but now is made manifest to his saints:”
If you don’t have Jewish ancestry, like me, then you are a Gentile, like me, and we are in Christ through our faith in Him, and by His Blood! Glory be to God!
Jesus said “And think not to say within yourselves, We have Abraham to our father: for I say unto you, thatGod is able of these stones to raise up children unto Abraham.” Matthew 3:9
Acts chapter 13 is so good! I encourage you to read it all, but here is a highlight!
“45 But when the Jews saw the multitudes, they were filled with envy, and spake against those things which were spoken by Paul, contradicting and blaspheming. 46 Then Paul and Barnabas waxed bold, and said, It was necessary that the word of God should first have been spoken to you: but seeing ye put it from you, and judge yourselves unworthy of everlasting life, lo, we turn to the Gentiles. 47 For so hath the Lord commanded us, saying, I have set thee to be a light of the Gentiles, that thou shouldest be for salvation unto the ends of the earth. 48 And when the Gentiles heard this, they were glad, and glorified the word of the Lord: and as many as were ordained to eternal life believed. 49 And the word of the Lord was published throughout all the region.” Acts 13:45-49
If you believe in Jesus Christ as your Lord and Saviour, this applies to you!
Ephesians 2:13-22 “13 But now in Christ Jesus ye who sometimes were far off are made nigh by the blood of Christ.”
