Wayne Dworaczyk of Blanco had long dreamed of taking his dad on an elk hunt some day, but he wanted to be sure that when and if that hunt happened they would both be able to bring home a nice trophy. He heard about Broadmouth Canyon Ranch in Ogden, Utah, owned by NFL legend, Rulon Jones. As well as guaranteed hunting, this is the largest and only true fair chase hunting estates in North America.
Wayne booked their hunt for late August this year and treated his dad with this great adventure. Benny Dworaczyk, pictured right (Wayne’s dad) of Seadrift, Tx. shot his bull at 208 yards with a 7mm Magnum and was a 6 x 7, scoring 368 3/4 according to SCI guidelines.
Wayne, left, shot his non-typical bull at 284 yards with a 300 Ultra Mag. His bull was a 9 x 11 and scored 368 3/4 according to Safari Club International guidelines.
The center picture was an emotional congratulatory hug for two of them. I don’t believe I’ve seen two grown men that emotional for some time now.

Both wives, Deborah and Jimmie Dworaczyk, who are also hunters, but did not hunt this trip, went along to enjoy the scenery and the great 2 and 3 mile hikes up the mountains.
