December is well on it's way and things are happening too fast. It is necessary to check my Calendar before making any decisions!
We hope you enjoyed the Blanco Courthouse lighting on November 28. All of the stores, streets, and Bindseil Park were decorated. It was a beautiful time. We are in the Trail of Lights for the second year. Blanco is a wonderful addition. Please take time to visit the downtown in the evening.
Saturday, December 3 will be our night parade. Market Day will be Saturday also. It will give you another chance for Christmas shopping.
Have you finished
your decorating? Have you ever used a live tree for your Christmas tree? There are many that are suitable and you can plan them in your landscape. Think of them the same way as a poinsettia. Keep them damp, not wet, as much light as possible. Keep away from drafts and too much heat. I have added to my landscape over the years. All holiday plants require the same attention.
A packed house enjoyed the Community Choir program at the First Baptist Church on December 7. It was wonderful. There were many new faces this year in the choir. It takes a lot of practice from September to December, but it is worth it!
