Gray Signs to University of West Virginia (Sports)

On November 14, Kyle Gray signed a National Letter of Intent to play baseball at the University of West Virginia in Morgantown, surrounded by family and friends in the Blanco High School Library.

Kyle has played baseball throughout the U.S. against some of the top players in the nation. He has been named to the perfect game All Tournament team three times. He also played for the North Texas USA team and competed at the USA Baseball national Training Facility in Cary, North Carolina, and was also invited to the MLB area code tryouts.

Kyle and his parents, Alan and Marilyn Gray, have many people the would like to Thank; the Students, Faculty, Administration, Community, and the Blanco Coaching Staff for all of their support over the last four years, Kyle’s high school Coaches Bryan Wyatt, Jason Marek, Logan Lucke, Derrick Hernandez, Chris Lay, and Scott Balmos for their hard work and support, a big thank you to all of his teammates throughout the years, John Simpson, Scott Crofts, and Mack Cantwell who coached during the early years and were a big part in helping him get started, also Calvin Schiradi, John Langerhans, John Keller, Angel Garcia, and Jeff Kent for all their expertise and hard work training and coaching during his summer and fall baseball, Coach Howard Bushong, former head coach at SWT who also coached with the San Diego Padres and Managed with the Detroit Tigers organization, for his knowledge and detail in training that makes him one of the best (he is a big part of why Kyle has an opportunity to play at the next level), professional trainer Tim Hallmark for all the hours he spent training Kyle, and Keith Jackson, pitching coach at Southwestern University and director of Action Baseball Club for countless hours of hard work and dedication that made it possible for Kyle to be recruited by Universities throughout the U.S.

Good luck to the 2014-15 Blanco Panther Baseball Team, and Go Mountaineers.
