Editor,
Do the Veterans and families of Veterans know that in the small rural communities of Blanco County there are only 1400 Veterans receiving the benefits that are their due? However, there are double to triple that amount that would have to drive long distances to apply for those benefits and get the proper assistance they so deserve. And many of them have no way to get there. So they do without.
We would like for those Veterans and families and those members of the county that have a patriotic frame of mind to come discuss the solution with us, this Saturday, November 15th, 2014, at the Blanco Market Days. We need to get signatures to present to the Blanco County Commissioners to open a VSO Office in Blanco County to service the many Veterans that have needs for benefits, and to make their voices heard. Please come by and talk to us and sign the petition. Let your voice be heard and any help you can offer would be greatly appreciated. We don’t want your money. We need your support in voice, signatures, and getting the word out.
For your patriotic attention to this matter we thank you very much.
