On Monday, September 29, Community English Classes celebrated the recent naturalization of Efrain Lopez. Efrain became a new American citizen at a naturalization ceremony held on September 25 at the UTSA Institute of Texan Cultures. The Institute became a federal courthouse when the oath of citizenship was taken.
Efrain enrolled in the Community English Classes held at the First Baptist Church, during its inception in the spring of 2013 with a focused goal of becoming an American citizen. Hard work, flashcards of American facts, and lots of paperwork resulted in the fulfillment of his American dream.
Community English Classes meet on Monday evenings at the First Baptist Church in Blanco from 6:00 – 8:00 PM. New students are welcome. For more information, you may contact the church at 830-833-4632.
