The Blanco Chamber of Commerce and Tourism Bureau is now accepting applications and nominations for the Board of Directors. Election will be held the first week in October, with the new Board Members to be announced at the Chamber’s Annual Meeting on October 14, 2014.
Currently, there are 7 seats available for the Board of Directors. Three of those seats will be elected at a one year term, and five of those seats will be elected at a two year term. Applicants must be a member of the Chamber of Commerce, or a representative of a business member. Monthly meeting of the Board of Directors is the second Tuesday of every month at 9:00 a.m.
As Blanco continues to grow as a city, the Chamber of Commerce remains committed to their Mission, which is to “Promote the economic well-being of local businesses and the business community as a whole, and improve the quality of life for all citizens of Blanco and the surrounding area.” The involvement of local business leaders, in the Chamber of Commerce is of the utmost importance when it comes to planning for the future of Blanco.
If you are interested in being a member of the Board of Directors, or you would like to nominate one of your employees, please stop by the Chamber office at 312 Pecan Street and complete an application. Members will also be receiving an email that will contain the forms as well. All nominations should be received no later than September 29. Ballots will be sent to members for voting on September 30.
