Francis Helmuth Ulrich (Bozo) of Johnson City, Texas was born November 14, 1925 in Johnson City, Texas and passed away August 19, 2014 at the age of 88.
Bozo was preceded in death by his wife Thelma Rhoden Ulrich, his parents Helmuth von Molke Ulrich and Iona Ulrich, his sister Winona Dell and husband Warren Herwig, his brother Alfred Gus (Pete) Ulrich, brother in laws; A Z Buchanan, Curtis Rhoden, Eugene Rhoden, and Albert Tuck Rhoden. Nephews Jim Herwig and Andrew Buchanan. He is survived by his sister in law Lena Mae Ulrich of Johnson City, Texas; in-laws; Willie Buchanan and Janice Rhoden of Mississippi; and Jerome and Merle Daily of Louisiana; son Frank Ulrich and wife Kandi of Happy, Texas; daughters Belinda Ulrich Basse and husband Bryan; Donna Ulrich McKennis and husband John, all of Johnson City, Texas. He is also survived by his ten grandchildren Michael Guthrie and wife Ashley; Nichole Guthrie Jaggers and husband Brett; Jason Guthrie; Alissa Basse; Stephanie Basse; Ryan Ulrich; Mallory Ulrich; Foster Ulrich; Aaron McKennis; and Joshua McKennis; one great grandson Branson Warren Guthrie; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Visitation will be held on Friday August 22, 2014 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Crofts - Crow Funeral Home in Johnson City. Services will be held on Saturday at 10AM at Crofts - Crow Funeral Home with interment immediately following at the Masonic Cemetery in Johnson City Texas. Pallbearers are Michael Guthrie, Jason Guthrie, Ryan Ulrich, Foster Ulrich, Aaron McKennis, Joshua McKennis, and Brett Jaggers. Honorary pallbearers are Keith Ulrich, David Herwig, Curtis Jones, Kristopher Ulrich, Trevor Ulrich, Ralph Breed, Terry Breed, Andrew Herwig, and Preston Fiedler. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the First Baptist Church of Johnson City, the Alzheimer’s Foundation of America, or the Johnson City Volunteer Fire Department.
