Donations are being accepted at Johnson City bank to assist the family of a Blanco County teen who was critically injured in a vehicle accident last week.

Rilee Moser, age 16 of Johnson City is a senior at LBJ High School. She was critically injured Monday July 14th in a one vehicle roll-over on FM 1623 in Gillespie County. Moser was transported by Air Life to University Hospital where she remains in critical condition in the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit. Rilee is the daughter of Sam and Susan Whittington of Johnson City and Scotty Moser of Bulverde.

The fund established at Johnson City bank is designed to help the family with the vast amount of expenses associated with staying with a loved one during a lengthy hospital stay. Money donated to the fund becomes available immediately to the family by way of debit card. Excess funds will be placed in a savings account for the parents to use how they see fit in regards to Rilee’s medical treatment, recovery or rehabilitation.

“There is still a little (money) in the fund, but they are going to need quite a bit more” stated Tina Scott, JC Bank employee and coordinator of the fund.

Letters and cards can be mailed to Rilee and/or her family at University Hospital, Pediatric ICU, c/o Rilee Moser - Room 7113, 4502 Medical Dr., San Antonio, TX 78229.
