I’ve recently begun a new franchise, with a corporation interested in good health, by eating more fruits and vegetables, with a product that helps us get more in our daily diet. So I’ve been researching the benefits of eating different fruits and vegetables. I didn’t realize many of them actually increase our immune systems, kill cancer stem cells, lower blood pressure and are natural anti-inflammatories! God gave us health through the foods He gave us! We decrease our health when we decrease those good foods.
I’d love to share my research with you, and perhaps I’ll get to some day. Meanwhile, you can do it yourself on the internet, by typing in a search like “benefit of eating broccoli” and discovering the wonderful things this food will do for your body.
God’s perfect plan included good health. We are the ones who are boycotting the foods He gave us, thereby causing our own poor health. In Isaiah 5:13 is written:
“Therefore my people are gone into captivity, because they have no knowledge: and their honorable men are famished, and their multitude dried up with thirst.”
In Genesis 1:11-12 it is written “11 And God said, Let the earth bring forth grass, the herb yielding seed, and the fruit tree yielding fruit after his kind, whose seed is in itself, upon the earth: and it was so.
12 And the earth brought forth grass, and herb yielding seed after his kind, and the tree yielding fruit, whose seed was in itself, after his kind: and God saw that it was good.”
In Genesis 1:27-29 it is written “27 So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them.
28 And God blessed them, and God said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it: and have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over every living thing that moveth upon the earth.
29 And God said, Behold, I have given you every herb bearing seed, which is upon the face of all the earth, and every tree, in the which is the fruit of a tree yielding seed; to you it shall be for meat.”
He told Adam and Eve that He had provided meat for us, in the form of fruit and herbs. Perhaps these Scriptures are the reason so many people won’t eat beef, pork, or fowl. Well, that’s what it sounds like to me, and look below at Genesis 9:4.
Because He goes on to say that the beasts were supposed to eat herbs, too! And some of them do!
“30 And to every beast of the earth, and to every fowl of the air, and to every thing that creepeth upon the earth, wherein there is life, I have given every green herb for meat: and it was so.” Genesis 1:30
I wonder when lions began to hunt other animals? Perhaps they ate herbs, too, at first, a long time ago?
God said “17 But of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, thou shalt not eat of it: for in the day that thou eatest thereof thou shalt surely die.” Genesis 2:17
But they did eat of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, so that angered God.
“17 And unto Adam he said, Because thou hast hearkened unto the voice of thy wife, and hast eaten of the tree, of which I commanded thee, saying, Thou shalt not eat of it: cursed is the ground for thy sake; in sorrow shalt thou eat of it all the days of thy life; 18 Thorns also and thistles shall it bring forth to thee; and thou shalt eat the herb of the field; 19 In the sweat of thy face shalt thou eat bread, till thou return unto the ground; for out of it wast thou taken: for dust thou art, and unto dust shalt thou return.” Genesis 3:17-19
Genesis 9:3-5 “3 Every moving thing that liveth shall be meat for you; even as the green herb have I given you all things.
4 But flesh with the life thereof, which is the blood thereof, shall ye not eat.
5 And surely your blood of your lives will I require; at the hand of every beast will I require it, and at the hand of man; at the hand of every man's brother will I require the life of man.”
Well, it is written that all things are good that God created, but after the flood that Noah and his family built the ark to be saved from God told Noah and his family the following.
Genesis 9:3-6 “3 Every moving thing that liveth shall be meat for you; even as the green herb have I given you all things. 4 But flesh with the life thereof, which is the blood thereof, shall ye not eat. 5 And surely your blood of your lives will I require; at the hand of every beast will I require it, and at the hand of man; at the hand of every man's brother will I require the life of man. 6 Whoso sheddeth man's blood, by man shall his blood be shed: for in the image of God made he man.”
