Alexandria Penshorn, a 2014 graduate of Blanco, has been awarded a $1,000 scholarship by Jennings Anderson Ford and Ford Motor Company. Alexandria plans to study Computer Systems in Agriculture at Tarleton State College.
Jennings Anderson Ford has sponsored the scholarship program for the last thirteen years and is proud to be involved in helping students reach their education goals.
The Built Ford Tough Trucks / FFA Scholarship Program is designed to recognize FFA members’ talents and accomplishments while encouraging their future academic achievements.
“We are proud to support the youth in our community like Alexandria and to do our part in helping other young people realize their goals,” said Scott Wilson, Jennings Anderson Ford Dealer Principal. “I wish Alexandria the best of luck at Tarleton State.”
Since the first F-Series truck introduced in 1948, Ford has supported the National FFA Foundation, and for more than 55 years, people all over America have been putting Built Ford Tough Trucks to work. Ford knows the value of hard work, and believes that hard work should be rewarded. Educating aspiring young people to become the leaders of tomorrow is just another way of ensuring a successful future.
