The Blanco baseball team traveled to Comfort to tangle with the Bobcats on Thursday, April 17. The Panthers were looking to avenge their 4-5 loss to the Bobcats earlier in district play. Blanco was able to do just that with a low scoring, 2-0, win. Josh McCaslin pitched 5 strong innings, striking out 7, allowing only 1 hit and no walks. Kyle Gray earned the save by going 2 innings and striking out 4.
The Panthers only had 1 hit on the night with a single by Kyle Sauceda. Blanco scored 2 runs on 2 walks, an error, and an rbi ground-out by McCaslin.
Blanco finishes district play with a home game against the Lago Vista Vikings on Thursday, April 24. Playoff positions will be determined after this weeks district games.
