Blanco County Aggie Moms will host their annual Garage Sale on Saturday, April 26th. The Sale is set for 8 am – 2 pm at First Baptist Church of Johnson City, 102 North Avenue Q, Johnson City, Texas, 78636. The sale is a large multi-family one, and items include appliances (including large and small TVs), furniture (including but not limited to couches, curio cabinets, bookshelves, bar stools), home décor, accessories, clothing and shoes, jewelry, kids’ items, athletic equipment, bedding, kitchenware, baby items, health aids, and much, much more! And don’t forget…you will also have an opportunity to buy delicious baked goods. These are baked with Aggie Mom love.
Blanco County Moms was incorporated in 2006 and includes Aggie Moms from Johnson City and Blanco. The group is a nonprofit organization and all funds go directly to scholarships for incoming TAMU freshmen. The Blanco County Aggie Moms hold regular meetings and welcome new Aggies and their families each year with an annual summer picnic. Blanco County Aggie Moms also distribute goody bags to Aggies during semester finals, recognize Aggie students for graduations and birthdays, and make contributions to various Aggie-sponsored events.
Blanco County Aggie Moms work enthusiastically to raise money toward scholarships for incoming Aggie freshmen. Those funds are combined with funds from the Blanco County A&M Association of Former Students. The two groups award several scholarships each year to deserving freshmen.
The Blanco County Aggie Moms look forward to welcoming a new group of Aggies for 2014 – 2015. They are grateful for the opportunity to assist these young people. Please come out and support them on Saturday, April 26th.
