We know Jesus was the perfect sacrifice for our sins, and we know we can receive His sacrifice as our very own, by believing in Him, and we can be redeemed from our sins and the very first sin of Adam and Eve, through faith in Him. But it’s not just about our redemption, because truly, it is about whether or not we love Him. Do you love God? He knows if you do.

John 5:42 “42 But I know you, that ye have not the love of God in you.”

How can you love Him, if you don’t know Him? I invite you to read a few of the following Scriptures, because, well, He loves you!

Exodus 20:6 “6 And shewing mercy unto thousands of them that love me, and keep my commandments.”

He’s made a covenant with us, all of us. Yes, at first it was for a special people, but when they rejected Him, He extended His covenant to all of us who will receive and believe in His dear Son, Jesus, whom He sent as that perfect sacrifice for all our sins.

Isaiah 61:8 “8 For I the Lord love judgment, I hate robbery for burnt offering; and I will direct their work in truth, and I will make an everlasting covenant with them.

This weekend we talked about God and some things that happen to others that we do not understand. God’s Word does not change. So, there are some who are suffering needlessly because of their ancestors. But, Jesus was sent to break those generational curses, if you will receive Him into your heart.

Deuteronomy 5:10 “10 And shewing mercy unto thousands of them that love me and keep my commandments.”

Numbers 14:18 “18 The Lord is longsuffering, and of great mercy, forgiving iniquity and transgression, and by no means clearing the guilty, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children unto the third and fourth generation.”

Psalm 103:17 “17 But the mercy of the Lord is from everlasting to everlasting upon them that fear him, and his righteousness unto children's children;”

And we talked about the fact (see below) that God does not discern between race, sex, color or creed.

Deut. 10:17-22 “17 For the Lord your God is God of gods, and Lord of lords, a great God, a mighty, and a terrible, which regardeth not persons, nor taketh reward:

18 He doth execute the judgment of the fatherless and widow, and loveth the stranger, in giving him food and raiment.

19 Love ye therefore the stranger: for ye were strangers in the land of Egypt.

20 Thou shalt fear the Lord thy God; him shalt thou serve, and to him shalt thou cleave, and swear by his name.

21 He is thy praise, and he is thy God, that hath done for thee these great and terrible things, which thine eyes have seen.”

I invite you to read and seek God, to find out how good He is, and fall in love with Him!

Hosea 2:23 “23 And I will sow her unto me in the earth; and I will have mercy upon her that had not obtained mercy; and I will say to them which were not my people, Thou art my people; and they shall say, Thou art my God.”

Deuteronomy 30:20 “20 That thou mayest love the Lord thy God, and that thou mayest obey his voice, and that thou mayest cleave unto him: for he is thy life, and the length of thy days: that thou mayest dwell in the land which the Lord sware unto thy fathers, to Abraham, to Isaac, and to Jacob, to give them.”

Proverbs 8:21 “21 That I may cause those that love me to inherit substance; and I will fill their treasures.”

Matthew 22:37 “37 Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind.”

John 13:34 “34 A new commandment I give unto you, That ye love one another; as I have loved you, that ye also love one another.”
