With the 10th Annual Blanco Lavender Festival right around the corner, the Blanco Chamber and the Festival Steering Committee are hosting a Town Hall Meeting. To be held at the Byars Building, Thursday, April 17 at 6:00 p.m., the purpose of the meeting is to engage our community in the planning and execution of this year’s festival. “A Town Hall meeting is the perfect opportunity for all interested parties to learn about the plans for the festival all at the same time.”, Libbey Aly, Executive Director, Blanco Chamber of Commerce and Tourism Bureau.
“The Lavender Festival has gained popularity over the years, and we are aware of the fact that such a large number of visitors on that weekend can be a strain on our residents. We welcome comments and suggestions on how the festival can be respectful of the needs of our community while at the same time, continue to warmly welcome visitors. In addition, we would like to hear from our merchants, both on and off the square.”
Please make plans to come to the meeting – your attendance would be very much appreciated.
