Your Blanco Volunteer Fire Department would like to say Thank You to all our citizens who helped, donated, and enjoyed the best fish fry ever this past Saturday at Yett Park!! There was something for everybody at the event. Kids enjoyed riding the mechanical bull, the Sumo wrestling, and the air slide. Adults enjoyed the helicopter static display and the extrication demonstration by our volunteer firefighters and all enjoyed the camaraderie and friendliness of the Blanco Community. We served over 1200 meals, were running out of food, and energy, near the end of the evening. Thanks to all the folks who attended and donated for your contributions and support.
Although we can’t thank everyone personally, we owe a special Thanks to Blanco National Bank, Spring Branch Water & Well Service, Petersen’s Tire and the Lone Star Bank for their special contributions! Also, Charles Waxler and his magnificent Team for laboring all day and producing outstanding catfish! Last, we could not have pulled off such a large event without the help and volunteers from the Blanco High School. Working in shifts, they were at the Park for 12 hours providing essential help in all areas. They worked hard with no complaints! Thank you, Special Students!
To each and everyone, a final Thanks for the strong support of your Blanco Volunteer Fire Department!
