Blanco Invitational Golf Tournament “The Best Ever” (Sports)

Kyle Gray was top performer, shooting an 80, and placed third in the Tournament.

Blanco High School hosted the Blanco Invitational golf tournament on February 24 and 25 at Vaaler Creek Golf Course in Blanco.

“We had another great tournament this year at Vaaler Creek!” said golf coach Scott Balmos. “The weather was great and the golf course was in great condition.”

Nineteen schools ranging in classification from 1A to 5A participated in the tourney, with 75 boys and 74 girls competing. Top performer for Blanco was Kyle Gray, who shot 80 and placed third.

“This is my sixth year to put on the two tournaments at Vaaler, and I think it was the best ever!” said Balmos.

“All this would never happen without the help of Adam Grosh (PGA professional and director of golf operation at Vaaler) and his staff. A big thank you to him and his staff!”
