Born in Montreal, Quebec in 1937, Francois Dubuc started painting in oils at the age of 13 and has since delved in all kinds of artistic endeavours.
Parallel to oil painting, he started doing sculpture in both Siporex and Soapstone in the ‘70’s.
In early ‘80’s he began working with Stained glass works, followed by a return to tri-dimensional works in fired clay until he really started with watercolour painting in 2000.
His day job, until 2004, was Orthopedic Surgery and since retirement he is doing over 100 paintings a year in watercolours and a few in oils.
Francois lives in a motor home in Blanco State Park and joined the Tejas Art Club this year. Some of his paintings are hanging at the Uptown Blanco restaurant and at the Oak Creek Cafe.
