On the evening of February 23 at 11:00 pm, Blanco County Dispatch received a call of a reckless driver on US 281. Deputy Darrin Ellis and Sergeant Thomas Broyles of the Blanco County Sheriff’s responded to the call and located the suspect vehicle on the side of US 281 at the US 290 intersection. Deputies found the vehicle to be occupied by two subjects, a male and female, who were both intoxicated. Further investigation led to the discovery of large amounts of narcotics and prescription drugs, including Black-tar Heroine, Crystallized Methamphetamine and prescription narcotics as well as cash money and drug paraphernalia.
John McCoy Alexander, 45-year-old white male and Marissa Ann Lopez, 23-year-old Hispanic female, both of Austin were arrested and charged with 1st and 2nd degree felony drug charges of possession with intent to deliver heroine, methamphetamine and prescription narcotics. Both subjects are being held at the Blanco County Jail pending magistration.
Blanco County Sheriff’s office will be filing for asset forfeiture of the vehicle and cash money seized during the arrest.
