Local Realtors Attend Texas Realtors Winter Meeting 2014 in Austin (Community News)

Among more than 1,000 Texas REALTORS® attending the Texas Association of REALTORS® Winter Meeting, Feb. 6 -11 at the Hyatt Regency Austin were Candy Cargill; President, Debbie Homeier; Vice President, Neal Reeh; Board Director and Debbie Pipes; Association Executive of The Central Hill Country Board of REALTORS®.

Speakers during the five-day event included: Motivational speaker Terry Watson; Texas Railroad Commissioner and Texas attorney general candidate Barry Smitherman; Texas attorney general candidate Rep. Dan Branch; and Texas attorney general candidate Sen. Ken Paxton.

During Winter Meeting, attendees explored the latest technologies and marketing tools for Texas REALTORS® – including the association’s new member and consumer website, TexasRealEstate.com – as well as trends in commercial real estate, professional standards, technology, property management, risk reduction, member benefits and more.

Cargill, as Political Involvement Council for Region 7 attended the Political Involvement Council Meeting and other Governmental Meetings, she and Homeier attended a Board Officer Rap Session, Homeier is the Texas Association Director for the Central Hill Country Board of REALTORS® and attended the TAR Board of Directors Meeting as well as an MLS Meeting and several educational forums, Reeh participated in round table discussions involving business development and also technology changes in our industry while Pipes attended meetings geared toward Association Executives to prepare them to better serve the membership. Both Homeier and Pipes attended the Legally Speaking Meeting where the TAR Attorneys answered real world questions.
