The County Clerk’s office is currently accepting applications to vote by mail. Individuals who will be absent from the county on the day of the election or are over the age of 65 or disabled are eligible to vote by mail and may contact the County Clerk’s office at 830-868-7357 about obtaining an application to vote by mail.
The last day the County Clerk’s office can mail a ballot is February 21, 2014; All applications must be made prior to that date.
Early voting in person will start February 18, 2014 in the Conference Room, Room 108, Blanco County Courthouse Annex, 101 E. Cypress St., Johnson City, and will run through February 28, 2014. Early voting will also take place on Saturday, February 22, 2014 in Johnson City in the Conference Room, Courthouse Annex from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. and again on Sunday, February 23, 2014 in Johnson City in the Conference Room, Courthouse Annex from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
Primary Election Day is March 4, 2014.
If there is a runoff in the primary, it will be held May 27, 2014.
Voters should also note that the Texas Voter ID Law, passed as S.B. 14 in 2011, is now law. The new requirements will be in effect for all future elections.
