From Carriage Hills Ranch
Blanco's beautiful Carriage Hills Ranch will host a Dinner/Dance featuring local artist Rebecca Henricks and The Slackers this Saturday, January 25th at 7pm. This is a fundraiser to support The Buggy Barn Museum Scholarship Fund. Buggy Barn owner Dennis Moore and the Moore family started this scholarship to assist a graduating senior from Blanco High School attending college next fall. Dennis, a fifth generation Blanco resident, has always generously supported the Blanco community in countless ways.
Rebecca Henricks and her husband Tom moved to Blanco over a year ago and Tom is a four time commander of the Shuttle mission. Rebecca is a modern day June Carter Cash with a fresh, upbeat tempo, and a heart as big as Texas. Her music is a blend of traditional country and bluegrass with a sound uniquely her own. With her talent and Southern hospitality she will engage you at “Howdy” and warm your heart forever.
