Free Tax Help at Blanco Library (Community News)

Income tax filing is just around the corner! Call or stop by the library today to sign up for free tax assistance on the first Thursday of February, March, or April from 12pm to 7pm. This is for individuals who made $57,000 or less in 2013. Bring your W-2 and make sure you have an e-mail address set up. Call to make your appointment asap!

Community Announcement: Blanco County has an Affordable Care Act Navigator. This person has been trained to help people navigate the government Health Care website and apply for the health insurance. If you need help, you can contact them at 1-800-960-5201 to set up a FREE appointment. The county trainer will be here January 9th at 6pm to give a presentation and overview of the program.

Our calendars have arrived and are on sale for $5 each! Pick up one for the New Year! The calendar includes beautiful local pictures taken by our patrons.

Remember that our Food for Fines program ends January 15th! $1 off late fines for 1 box or can of food. It helps you and the local community. Do you have $3 in late fines, no problem! Just bring 3 cans. Do you have $20 in late fines? No problem either! Bring in 20 cans or boxes of goods and take care of that pesky debt!
